ABOUT MURA MA

Mura Ma Art Space is an artist-led independent gallery and art space that opened in January 2023 in Marple, Stockport.  As of September 2024, Mura Ma is a nomadic project-based gallery; exhibiting in alternative spaces and creating installations that will respond to different sites, venues and artists’ work. 

Mura Ma is a place where collectors and art lovers can experience contemporary art and buy work from emerging artists.   Our events and talks will offer audiences the opportunity to get to know and support our artists at this early point in their career.

Shaped from the desire to hold space for artists to present their work, Mura Ma is a place for artists to show and create meaningful context and connections and to build an engaged audience of supporters and collectors.

Mura Ma is an Own Art gallery which means art lovers can now pay for art in our gallery in monthly interest free instalments.  Own Art is a national initiative supported by Arts Council England to support living artists.
