Kate Jacob was born in London but is now based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. She studied at Manchester Metropolitan University. She has exhibited at The Graves Gallery, Sheffield, Wolff Gallery, Studio 1:1 and The Mall Galleries, London. Recent exhibitions include Gesture and Geometry at Bloc Projects, Sheffield and Material Presence, at the Fitzrovia Gallery, London. She recently completed a turps correspondence course, 2021-22 and is currently undertaking the fine art mentoring course at Morley College London.

 As well as painting she’s also developed and managed many art projects. These included introducing Print and Drawing Summer Schools to the former Mappin Art Gallery, Sheffield working alongside artists Claude Heath and Steve Carley, co-founding Open up, South Yorkshires Open studio event, now in its 21st year, and delivering professional development seminars for creative SME’s.
